Dr. Noreen Thomas serves as the director of Hodges University’s Center for Nonprofit Excellence and concurrently is a faculty member at National American University. Working with nonprofits in southwest Florida is a passion for Noreen, and her work with the Center is designed to maximize the capacity of nonprofit organizations in southwest Florida. She remains actively engaged in higher education by teaching in a doctoral program which prepares students for leadership positions.
A lifelong educator, Thomas is the former executive vice president of Edison State College in Ft. Myers, Florida. With more than 40 years of experience in higher education, she retired from Edison in 2010. Thomas has a doctorate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and has been a full-time resident of Bonita Springs, Florida for over ten years.
