Nancy L. Merolla joined Florida Community Bank, N.A. as Vice President, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer in May 2012. Ms. Merolla is an administrator with a proven record of success in administering public and private nonprofit organizations serving the community’s needs. In her current position, Ms. Merolla, a well-recognized professional in the financial and social services arena, focuses on the Bank’s community reinvestment activities throughout Florida.
Ms. Merolla has deep contacts and has earned enormous respect in the nonprofit world, having extensive experience that includes 28 years in the banking industry, where she held such diverse positions as Vice President, CRA/Compliance Manager for Comerica Bank, Vice President, Branch Management for Glendale Federal and Vice President, Statewide Non-Profit Relationship Manager for BankAtlantic.
Her work with non-profits covers a wide gamut of organizations, including seven years as President and CEO of Broward Housing Solutions. She has also worked with Broward Partnership for the Homeless and The Starting Place, Inc. In 2009, she was appointed Circuit Administrator of the Florida Department of Children and Families for Broward County by Secretary George Sheldon.
Ms. Merolla’s dedication to the community is evidenced by the long list of boards and committees she serves on to include: 2-1-1 Broward, Broward Housing Partnership, Foot Prints to Success, Milagro Center, Housing Foundation of America, Inc. and The Starting Place.
Ms. Merolla has received multiple recognitions for her dedication and hard work in the Broward County community, where she has resided for over 46 years. She has a strong business background and has a proven record in establishing quality, efficient, and profitable healthcare, nonprofit leadership, affordable housing and related businesses.
