Connie Shipley focuses her legal practice on estate and trust administration as well as general estate planning.
Her objective is to leverage her legal and financial knowledge to help clients realize their goals in the most tax effective way possible.
Connie spent the first thirteen years of her professional career as a Financial Consultant with Merrill Lynch in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area.
Interested in learning more about trust and estate law, she elected to attend law school.
Upon earning her degree,she moved to Southwest Florida and practiced trust and estate law for several years.
In 2001, Connie returned to the financial side as Vice President and Wealth Strategist for Northern Trust.
As she worked with wealthy families over the next decade or so, the benefits of a simple, coordinated, and collaborative approach became apparent.
Accordingly, Connie is delighted to return to the practice of law at Wollman Gehrke & Solomon where a comprehensive, holistic approach is in the firm’s DNA.
Professional Activities and Experience: Treasurer/Secretary and Chair of the Finance Committee for the Speakers Assembly of Southwest Florida; Member of the Planned Giving Committee- Shelter for Abused Women (Naples); Member of the Florida Bar Association, Collier County Bar Association, Collier County Women’s Bar Association, and Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Community involvement includes: Board of Planned Parenthood and The Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs.
