John Slavik Vice President, South Florida Market Manager, joined Fifth Third Bank in 2003. He oversees six Retail Regional Managers within 77 Financial Centers along the west coast from St. Petersburg to Naples, as well as the Fort Lauderdale area.
He began his career with the bank in Cincinnati, moving to Cleveland in 2004 to further his career in retail banking, while finishing his MBA at Baldwin Wallace College. He received his undergraduate degree from Xavier University in 2002. John relocated to Naples in 2016 to accept the Market Manager opportunity. 5/3 Bank is a market-share leader in the Naples community and John frequently engages in speaking events to drive employee participation and community outreach efforts.
John has a long history of distinctive execution while running multiple markets in the growth and acquisition arena. He is a past recipient of the President’s Circle Award for excellence during his career when he served as Financial Center Manager and Regional Manager. Throughout his time in Northeast Ohio, he was active in the community with Big Brother, a United Way Young Leaders Cabinet member, Junior Achievement, and still serves as board member on the Hispanic Chamber of NEOH. John serves as the 5/3 Women’s Business Resource Group co-chair for South Florida.
